Overview

Email verification is a required step to activate your Riafin account. This guide explains why it's necessary and how to complete the process.

Why Email Verification is Required

Email verification helps us:

  • Confirm you own the email address
  • Protect against fraudulent accounts
  • Ensure secure communication channels
  • Comply with financial industry regulations

The Verification Process

Step 1: Check Your Inbox

After registering, we automatically send a verification email to the address you provided.

Sender: noreply@riafin.com
Subject: "Verify your Riafin account"

Step 2: Click the Verification Link

Open the email and click the blue "Verify Email Address" button. This will:

  • Confirm your email ownership
  • Activate your account
  • Redirect you to your Riafin dashboard

Step 3: Start Using Riafin

Once verified, you have full access to all platform features including:

  • Viewing advisor matches
  • Scheduling consultations
  • Accessing resources and tools
  • Messaging matched advisors

If You Don't See the Email

Wait a Few Minutes

Email delivery can sometimes be delayed. Wait 5-10 minutes before taking further action.

Check Spam/Junk Folders

Verification emails sometimes get filtered:

  • Gmail: Check "Spam" and "Promotions" tabs
  • Outlook: Check "Junk Email" folder
  • Yahoo: Check "Spam" folder

Search Your Inbox

Use your email client's search function with these terms:

  • "Riafin"
  • "Verify"
  • "noreply@riafin.com"

Resending the Verification Email

If you can't find the original email:

  1. Log into your Riafin account
  2. Go to Account Settings → Email
  3. Click "Resend Verification Email"
  4. Check your inbox (and spam folder) again

Common Issues and Solutions

"Link expired" Error

Verification links expire after 24 hours for security. If yours has expired:

  • Request a new verification email
  • Check that you're clicking the most recent email

"Invalid token" Error

This usually means:

  • The link was already used
  • The URL was copied incorrectly
  • Your browser has cached an old page

Solution: Clear your browser cache and try again, or request a new email.

Verification email keeps going to spam

If this happens repeatedly:

  1. Mark the email as "Not Spam"
  2. Add noreply@riafin.com to your contacts
  3. Create a filter/rule to never mark Riafin emails as spam
  4. Use a different email provider if issues persist

Changing Your Email Address

If you need to use a different email:

  1. Log into your Riafin account
  2. Go to Account Settings → Profile
  3. Click "Change Email"
  4. Enter your new email address
  5. Verify the new email
