Our review guidelines ensure feedback is constructive, honest, and helpful for the community while maintaining professionalism.

Our Review Philosophy

Riafin reviews are designed to create transparency and help investors make informed decisions. We believe in honest, constructive feedback that benefits the entire community.

Review Eligibility

You can write a review if:

  • You were matched with the advisor through Riafin
  • You had at least one consultation or meeting
  • You are currently working with them OR have completed your engagement
  • You are writing based on your direct experience

You cannot write a review if:

  • You never met or spoke with the advisor
  • You were not matched through Riafin
  • You are writing on behalf of someone else
  • You have a conflict of interest (competitor, etc.)

What Makes a Good Review

Be Specific

Instead of: "They are good" Write: "They helped me save Rs. 50,000 in taxes by optimizing my 80C investments and suggesting ELSS funds aligned with my risk profile"

Be Balanced

Mention both strengths and areas for improvement. No advisor is perfect, and constructive criticism helps everyone.

Be Honest

Only write about your actual experience. Do not exaggerate or fabricate details.

Be Respectful

Even negative reviews should be professional. Focus on the service, not personal characteristics.

Be Timely

Write your review while the experience is fresh, but after you have had enough interaction to form a valid opinion.

Prohibited Content

Reviews will be rejected if they contain:

Personal Information:

  • Advisor's personal phone number or address
  • Your own sensitive financial details
  • Information about other clients

Inappropriate Content:

  • Profanity or vulgar language
  • Personal attacks or insults
  • Discriminatory remarks
  • Threats or harassment

Confidential Information:

  • Specific investment recommendations made to you
  • Details from confidential planning documents
  • Proprietary methodology details

Fake or Misleading:

  • Reviews written by non-clients
  • Multiple reviews from the same person
  • Reviews written under false pretenses
  • Reviews for compensation or incentives

Review Moderation Process

Step 1: Automated Screening

  • Check for prohibited words
  • Verify reviewer identity
  • Flag suspicious patterns

Step 2: Human Review

  • Read for policy compliance
  • Verify authenticity
  • Check for relevance

Step 3: Decision

  • Approved: Published within 24-48 hours
  • Rejected: Email sent with reason
  • Edits Requested: You can revise and resubmit

Responding to Reviews

If You Are an Advisor:

Do:

  • Thank reviewers for their feedback
  • Address specific concerns professionally
  • Show you take feedback seriously
  • Invite offline conversation for complex issues

Do Not:

  • Argue with reviewers publicly
  • Reveal confidential client details
  • Dismiss negative feedback
  • Ask friends/family to write positive reviews

Example Good Response:

"Thank you for your detailed review, [Name]. I am glad our tax planning strategies helped you save significantly. I appreciate your feedback about response times - I have implemented a new system to ensure faster replies. I would love to discuss any other suggestions you have."

Disputing a Review

If you believe a review violates our guidelines:

  1. Click "Report Review" on the review
  2. Select the violation type
  3. Provide explanation
  4. Our team will investigate within 3-5 business days

Review Authenticity

Riafin takes review authenticity seriously:

  • Verified Clients Only: Must have been matched through our platform
  • One Review Per Engagement: Cannot submit multiple reviews for same advisor
  • No Incentives: Advisors cannot offer compensation for reviews
  • Pattern Detection: We monitor for fake review campaigns

Updating Reviews

You can update your review if:

  • Your experience significantly changes
  • Issues you raised have been resolved
  • You want to add follow-up information

Updates go through the same moderation process as new reviews.

Legal Considerations

By submitting a review, you confirm:

  • It is based on your genuine experience
  • You are not violating any confidentiality agreements
  • You are not impersonating someone else
  • You accept that reviews may be publicly displayed
